About Me

My name is Pastor Michael, or RevM, and I am a Provisional Commissioned Elder in the United Methodist Church. I have been serving in the Michigan Area Annual Conference since 2014.

I have loved taking pictures since I was very young, and it is something I learned about from my grandparents. I have always joked that my paternal grandmother single-handedly kept Kodak in business throughout the 1980s.

I consider myself VERY much an amateur photographer, but I am always trying to learn more and get better. I have no aspirations of becoming a professional photographer, but rather use photography as a spiritual formation practice (and to capture family memories of course).

I have a bit of infinity for macro photography as I am amazed just how much detail exists in the world and how much we miss sometimes. I also enjoy what I call “abstract” photography or images that I just find interesting that I cannot fit into any other genre or category.

I hope you enjoy the photos I share here and if you would like to use any of them, except where otherwise noted, content on this site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
